Staying in Style During Office Hours

December 23, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

What qualifies as a stylish outfit for work? Pairing a top, bottom, shoes, purse, jewelry and hairstyle comes easily to some, but not so easily to others. Have you ever noticed how some women look as if they must have a personal stylist at home? Here are some tricks and tips that can help you achieve a well put together look that will leave you self-assured:
*When it comes to business attire, stick with a classic palette. Black is always a good choice, as is beige, navy, chocolate and grey. The majority of your look should be one of these colors.
*When layering pieces, make the bottom most layer the garment that has attention-drawing elements. This could be a print or a bright color. Use this attention drawing piece in small quantities. You don’t want to use a loud, large print that practically screams.
*Use jewelry with gemstones that match the focal piece. This pulls your look together. *Shoes in the same shade as your attire will visually lengthen your body, making you appear confident and classy.
*Your handbag can match your shoes or, if you’re feeling bold, it can match the focal point of your outfit.
*Wearing hair back from the face is best during work hours. Hair that is worn down and forward tends to fall into eyes, causing you to continuously push it back behind an ear. Playing with your hair never looks professional. You can avoid this by using a barrette or bobby pins if you plan to wear hair down. Otherwise, an updo such as a bun, chignon or twist will hold your hair in a lasting style.
*Keep makeup natural looking. You don’t want to use bright makeup colors and heavy applications during business hours. Save that for a get together with the girls after work.

Fashion and attitude go hand in hand

December 9, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Ones fashion statement should also match up with ones attitude. Very frilly or colorful and exposing clothes probably will not suit a person who is very somber and serious all the time but they would look great on a cheerful person who loves outing and socializing. In the same manner someone who is very tomboyish will not feel comfortable in girly clothes even if it suites her. Forcefully following the latest fashion trend just because everyone is doing the same is one of the biggest fashion faux pas. Finding one’s own fashion statement that suites a person’s body type, personality and attitude perfectly can be a little difficult sometimes but the fact to be kept in mind is that are enough types of clothes, dresses, shoes, bags and accessohttps://content.copypress.com/article/article_set.php?article_id=60628&keyword_id=60628ries in fashion to meet everyone’s demands .
The right fashion sense should be coupled with the right hairstyle and makeup to get the perfect touch. The right hairstyle is very important to look good. whether one should have short hair , long hair , steps , laser cut , curls , bangs , wavy or straightened hair , front or side fringes depends on the face cut of a person. A person with a small face should avoid bangs and fringes as it would cover the already pretty tiny face. A long face on the other hand looks great with fringes as it balances the face. People with small forehead should also avoid fringes especially middle fringes or front fringes as the fringes would inconveniently come in the way of one’s eyes. They can however have side fringes. Tall females should avoid very short hair and females who are not tall should avoid very long hair. Ones hairstyle should balance ones face and body and make the most of one’s facial features.

Fashion and personality goes hand in hand

December 8, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

A person’s fashion sense reflects what kind of personality that person has. Ones fashion style should suit ones personality and make a person feel good about oneself. Fashion is meant to lift a person’s attitude and improve his/her personality in a positive way. The clothes that you wear give an idea about the kind of person that you are. This is why we can generally guess the occupation of a person by the way they dress up even outside the work place. Artists and writers usually dress up in loose comfortable clothes. Fashion industry people whether they are actors or models, singers etc usually dress up in trendy flashy clothes; teachers and professors dress up in formals even normally outside school or college. Ones dressing sense mirrors a person’s values and ethics to a great extent too , so is very important to dress according to one’s lifestyle, goals and personality.
Although Fashion goes a long way in defining who and what you are, it alone cannot make a person look good. By simply wearing the most modern fashion clothes, one cannot be sure of looking good. The clothes that you wear and your style statement should be decided keeping your body type, heath, complexion and attitude in mind. Blindly following the latest fashion trends or copying someone else are some of the biggest fashion mistakes. The only thing that should be kept in mind while shopping for clothes is the fact that the dresses or cloth items one is purchasing looks good on a person and are comfortable or not. Your fashion statement should make you be aware of good about yourself and boost your confidence. Wrong fashion choices can prove to be disastrous for ones ego even if it is in accordance with the latest prevalent fashion trend.

Latest fashion trends need to be followed with caution

December 7, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Shopping for the latest fashion clothes impulsively usually turns out to be a blunder. You may think that leather high pencil heel footwear is extremely fashionable but it might not be comfortable at all even if it looks great. If you end up buying it, you will be momentarily happy, but the footwear will probably end up in the corner of your wardrobe in between shoes you bought but never wore. Before shopping for fashion accessories, latest trendy clothes, shoes, bags etc, you should think and decide if the fashion item is something you will really wear, if it is looking good on you, if it’s comfortable or not and on what occasions are you going to wear what you just bought, otherwise your shopping will end up becoming a showpiece which just looks pretty but is of no use.
The comfort factor is a very essential factor when you shop as you might wear a dress or shoe which looks great but is very uncomfortable once or twice but you won’t prefer wearing if often if you are provided with the option of wearing clothes that look sufficiently good and are also very easy to carry and maintain. Following the latest trend is not essential if it ends up making you look like a fool. It’s better to wear conventional clothes that suites you and makes you look beautiful because after all the main aim of fashion is to make you feel good about yourself. Copying someone else’s fashion statement or simply adopting a fashion statement because the most popular girl in your class is following the same trend can also prove to be wrong many times as every person has a different personality and body type. What might look good on a tall skinny girl might not look good on someone who is not tall. The most important thing is to find out what kind of fashion statement suites you best and stick to it.
